Just wanted to share a new piece I’ve been working on.
Based on my Made For Fighting bird, this piece represents 2 merging styles.
I’m fairly happy with the outcome overall. Two colour variations and detailed views available here
Wallpaper versions available soon through KitsuneNoir

We have some new announcements regarding the New Improved Mademoiselle line; 2 new releases and some details on the line itself.
The new Mademoiselle line was designed in cooperation with the AMD
(Akademie Mode Design, Düsseldorf).
Four groups of students from the 4th semster worked a whole the semester on the new line and developed new cuts and prints as well as target group analysis and many other things for laFraise Mademoiselle. After they presented everything we chose one group as the winner.
We chose 4 shirts out of the winning collection that were finally produced and then some of our best designers (Beyond the chuch, Casajordi, Playmoo, Theoze) redesigned the prints/designs from the students. This keeps up with the variance in style you’ve come to expect from laFraise.
The new Mademoiselle collection is supposed to be more sensual and feminine to make our female customers more happy… something fresh for the laFraise girls.
With new shirt cuts we hope to inspire the laFraise desigers to design a new line with some fresh and feminine designs. (For the new line we also developed nice necklabels and hangtags as well as washinglabels.)
Now onto the first 2 releases:
First up is a design from Beyond the Chuch called: La fille de l’Océan on the newly designed slim fit shirt with a deep feminine V-neck and cute puffed sleeves.

Second is a design from Casajordi called: Dragonflies on the new short A-line dress that can be worn with tights as a dress or also with jeans as a long shirt. It has 3/4 arms a deep feminine neckline
and is gathered in the back.

We’ll have 2 new designs for you next week!

On Friday 28th November, Phonica Records (london) celebrates its fifth birthday with a bash at London’s Corsica Studios ; music comes courtesy of Sebo K, Prins Thomas and Peverelist.
With independent record emporia around the world closing down at a frighteningly rapid rate, we’re excited our friends @ Phonica’s store in Soho to reach its 5 th birthday. Quality, Passion & Focus pay off. Congratulations & best whishes for the future!

The diversity of the shop is reflected in the distinction of the guests assembling to play this birthday party: Mobilee’s Sebo K , surely one of the most dynamic deep house and minimal DJs on the planet; boundlessly entertaining, dancefloor-wrecking disco kingpin Prins Thomas, Peverelist , Bristol-based purveyor of techno-tinged dubstep and proprietor of Punch Drunk; and, last but not least, Phonica co-founder, BBC Radio 1 DJ and Get Physical girl-about-town, Heidi .
These headliners will be joined by the annoyingly talented Phonica DJs: Simon Rigg, The Vangelis, Hector [whose debut single 'La Raza' came out on Dinky's Horizontal label earlier this year], Anthea, Ben (Skull Juice), Damon Martin (Disco Bloodbath), Raimo, Ricky (Udio) and FACT’s very own Antony Hill.
The festivities run from 10pm-6am, and advance tickets are available at £10 from Phonica and www.residentadvisor.net , with tickets on the door going for £12.

Some highlights of the 15k contest so far.
We are pleased to announce a major improvement to the laFraise voting system.
Until now all laFraise members’ votes were equal. That meant somebody who had signed up just yesterday and a long time laFraise fan would have the same say in what design should or should not get printed. What seems fair at first glance turned out to be quite unfair in some cases where people started cheating using fake accounts. This distorted the feedback designers got out of the contest and also gave us a hard time when selecting winners because we closely look at the scores as well.
A new algorithm to the rescue!
To make cheating unattractive and bring fairness back we are changing the calculation of the overall submission score. Each member’s votes are now multiplied by a voting weight that corresponds to their activity in the community. That way the votes of members that have a long history of commenting and voting on submissions for example will get more weight. Among the other factors that give members more voting weight are uploading submissions and of course winning a contest as well as some we would like to keep secret for now.
The new algorithm will be at work starting today and we think it is a great improvement to the overall system but also to the actual fairness of each user.
