What is a pixel graphic and what does it do?

Pixel graphics (i.e. digital pictures) are composed of individual, solid coloured pixels. The usual data formats are .jpg, .gif and .png. The resolution of an image is the dpi, which says the number of pixels in the image.

We use pixel graphics as print templates for digital and offset printing.
