What should I know before uploading my design?
In your user area "My Spreadshirt" you can upload vector image formats (.ai till version CS2 and .cdr till version 11) as well as pixel image formats (.bmp, .jpg, .gif and .png.)
If you want to upload a design to the Spreadshirt Designer in order to directly buy you must use the pixel format . The reason for that is explained below.
Vector Graphics - Requirements for the Printing:
In order to use plot printing , your vector graphic must follow a few guidelines (i.e., compliance of the minimum line thickness, fulfillment of the minimum font, at most three colours and no gradient.) Our service team will check that everything is in order. This process lasts between 24 and 48 hours . If your graphic doesn't match the guidelines, it won't be accepted and we'll tell you about it per e-mail.
Pixel Graphics - Requirements for the Printing:
Because designs in the Spreadshirt Designer must be immediately available, it is currently only possible to upload pixel graphic images . Uploading pixel graphics is technically easy , but there are legal aspects to watch for. Every pixel graphic image uploaded for printing will be checked for copyright infringements .
Restrictions for uploading graphics files:
As a registered Spreadshirt user, you can upload an initial number of 50 vector or pixel graphics to your user area, regardless whether your member status is Standard or Premium. In addition to that, Premium members can upload a further 50 graphic files a day. Daily uploads for Standard Shops are limited to a further 5 graphic files a day.
Restrictions for uploading designs to the Spreadshirt Marketplace:
Yet another heart or a snapshot of nan's dog – some designs are not suitable for Spreadshirt's Marketplace. Please have a look at our guidelines for Marketplace designs before offering a product with your design on the Marketplace.
