Well I was in a toy show over the weekend in Vancouver. The show overall wasn’t too bad and had some solid toys. I always find it inspiring to be surrounded by fellow artists and their artwork. Figured the show might inspire someone for the 15k Contest which is looking great so far guys, keep those submissions coming!!
It’s been awhile since we’ve had a EU winner for the classic gallery ans we’ve been slowing things down in preparation for the 15k Contest, but we’ve come back this week with a great EU winner, our very own Niarkozoid (Niark1). If you like his winning design Galactica you can checkout more of his work on his website.

We wanted to say “thank you” to the community, and we figured every Christmas we give out a certain amount of BR (credits) but what could we do more specific to the designers?
That’s where the “15k Contest” comes in.
Here is the breakdown:
-Contest is open to all countries on all laFraise sites.
-Submissions start November 10th - December 1st (then allow 1 week for final voting)
-No other contests will be run during this time.
-We will pick the 9 top designs which will then be put into their own gallery as finalists from December 8th-14th
-3 winners will then be chosen each getting 5,000 Euros (yes thats EUROS!) and their designs will be printed in a limited run.

Update: all designs submitted to the “Classic” contest will be entered into the 15k Contest.
If You Could is a website of artists from all over the globe who contribute to the If You Could series books.
Also on the website is a series of limited prints only in the colours black, white and red. Interesting that.
I did enjoy how the site and the artwork were all very minimal for the most part. Alot can be done with blank space… Alot of this stuff would look great on a tee.
Artists include: Alex Trochut, Kate Gibb, Matthew Green, and a few others.

Well it’s been a little while in the making, but Blood Sweat Vector (BSV) was finally launched to the public yesterday.
Now to give you a small breakdown on what BSV is: BloodSweatVector was founded in October of 2008 by Jared Nickerson and Brad Mahaffey. BSV brings together some of the highest regarded vector artists in the world, posting their news, updates, releases, and recommendations to all of you readers. Authors (the artists) posting on this site have been specifically invited to be a part of BSV due to the respect they garner in the vector community. Each entry is from the artists themselves, providing the news directly to you via BSV.
Current members include: 123klan HelloFreaks LosFokos Magnus Blomster Sheena Aw Cuypi Niark1 Dacosta Charuca and myself J3Concepts (more coming soon)
