At wits end on why design is repeatedly rejected

Hi,

For the last month I’ve tried at least 5 times to use different versions of the same design and it’s always rejected with the unhelpful “Quality” response. I raised a ticket with Support and after 2 weeks all I got back was an email saying “It’s blurry” and a link to this page. My design is already 8000px wide, PNG and under 10Mb. It doesn’t give any more information on what to do.

I’ve submitted a large number of designs over the years and this is the first one to be repeatedly rejected.

If there was enough information as to the issue I’d fix it but currently I can’t see any way to move forward.

The artwork is here.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi David,
it is blurry.
Which program do you use to make your designs?
It doesn’t matter how high your resolution is if the graphic itself is of “bad quality”. When you zoom in on the letters, you can see, that the “corners” are uneven and blend over in different colors. They have some sort of gradient.

Look at the difference between the unvectorized (your original picture) and a vectorized version.
Can you see the difference?

Try to make your graphics as curves and not as bitmaps, that will help. Try to avoid gradients at the edges at all costs.

Cheers,
JJ

Hi JJ,

First of all - thanks very much for replying. The original was done in Canva (not by me). The version I have is downloaded from that so a PNG master is all I have. I’ve tried converting it to SVG using and online site and running it through a couple of online free imagine sharpening tools and none of that makes it any less blurry. Do you have any suggestions that I could do with Gimp or anything else?

David

Hiho,

the problem I see right now is, that the original PNG you have is off bad quality to work with.
I’ll have a closer look at it tomorrow, maybe there is a quick solution to your problem. Other than doing the design over again.

Cheers
J
